Energy Medicine Sessions

Energy Medicine recognises energy as a vital, living, moving force that determines much about health and happiness.  Energy Medicine is both a complement to other approaches to medical care and a complete system for self-care and self-help.  It can address physical illness and emotional or mental disorders, and it can also promote high-level wellness and peak performance.

We work with the nine energy systems of the body, some you may recognise, the chakras; meridians; aura and some you may not be familiar with such as the five elements; electrics; celtic weave; triple warmer; radiant circuits and our basic grid.  All of these energies flow and connect in and around our body.

When practicing a Daily Energy Medicine Yoga Practice every day, we work with a set of exercises designed to help you develop a stronger energetic core.  Some people feel an immediate difference in their energy level or sense of well-being after carrying out this routine.  All nine energy systems work together and are strengthened throughout the practice.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga that involves holding a gentle seated or lying down poses for extended periods of time, typically 3 - 5 minutes or longer.  The focus of Yin Yoga is on stretching and targeting the deep connective tisssues, such as the fasia, ligaments, tendons and joints, rather than the muscles.  This style of yoga is often used as a compliment to more active forms of yoga and exercise, as it can help improve flexibility, joint mobility and overall relaxation.  It is also used as a form of meditation and mindfulness practice as the long holds require focused attention and deep breathing.

Yin Yoga can help balance the body's energy and promote overall health and wellbeing.  In Yin Yoga we work with the meridians of the body by stimulating these pathways and promoting the smooth flow of Qi throughout the body.  The long holds in Yin Yoga can help to stretch and stimulate specific meridians depending on the pose being held.  Each meridian is associated with a specific organ or body system and through the practice we chose to target these areas of the body to stimulate the energy of the meridians.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. Reiki can be an inperson session or distant Reiki

The goal of this practice is to promote overall health and wellbeing by restoring the body's natural energy flow.

Qi Gong

Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese system of exercises that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques, and mental focus. Qi Gong can be translated as "energy work" or "breath work," where "qi" means vital life force or energy, and "gong" means cultivation or skill.

The practice of Qi Gong involves gentle, flowing movements designed to increase the flow of Qi or energy throughout the body, balance the body's energy system, and promote overall health and well-being. It is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and that the body has its own innate healing abilities.

Face Yoga

Face yoga is a type of facial exercise that involves performing specific movements and poses with the facial muscles and features to tone and strengthen them. It is designed to help improve the appearance of the face and combat the signs of aging, such as wrinkles, sagging skin, and dark circles. During a face yoga session, you might perform exercises like puckering your lips, puffing out your cheeks, or raising your eyebrows. These movements are intended to work the underlying facial muscles and improve circulation to the skin, which can lead to a more toned and youthful appearance. Some proponents of face yoga can help to reduce stress and tension in the face, improve posture, and even enhance the overall health and well-being of the body.
